(Via USF Communications) - Kickoff times and television arrangements for USF’s first four home football games of the 2014 season and five games overall have been set. The American Athletic Conference announced today kickoff times and television arrangements for several early season football contests for conference members.
The Bulls will open their second season under Head Coach Willie Taggart in just over 70 days with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Aug. 30 vs. Western Carolina in Raymond James Stadium. That game will be broadcast on ESPN3, ESPN’s online streaming platform.
The Bulls’ following three home games will all be televised on cable network platforms starting with a Saturday, Sept. 6 clash with new Big Ten Conference member Maryland. That game is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff and will air on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN).
The Bulls’ following home match-up with ACC member North Carolina State on Saturday, Sept. 13 will also kickoff at 3:30 p.m. and be televised by CBS Sports Network.
USF’s American Conference opener vs. UConn on Friday, Sept. 19 in Raymond James Stadium has been set for an 8:00 p.m. primetime kickoff and will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2.
USF's Friday, Oct. 24 game at Cincinnati has been set for a 7:00 p.m. (ET) kickoff and will be broadcast on either ESPN or ESPN2. The final network designations of the UConn and Cincinnati games will be network selections announced during the season. Kickoff times and television arrangements for most of the remainder of USF’s 2014 schedule are expected to be network selections announced during the season.
The Bulls return 16 starters (10 offense, 4 defense, 2 specialists) for Taggart’s second season at the helm, which kicks off on Aug. 30 vs. Western Carolina at Raymond James Stadium. The Bulls 2014 non-conference schedule features home clashes vs. Big Ten foe Maryland (Sept. 6) and ACC opponent N.C. State (Sept. 13) as well as a road game at perennial Big Ten power Wisconsin (Sept. 27). USF will welcome UConn (Fri., Sept. 19), East Carolina (Sat., Oct. 11), Houston (Sat., Nov. 1) and UCF (Fri., Nov. 28) to Raymond James in American Athletic Conference action.
USF football season ticket renewals are available. Members may renew their tickets today online, by calling 1-800-GoBulls, or in person at the Ticket Sales and ServiceCenter in the Sun Dome administrative offices (Gate B).
