ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA.com) - Four men were arrested Sunday and about 20 people were tossed out of a Tampa Bay Rowdies soccer match at Al Lang Stadium after a violent disruption Sunday afternoon, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.

Firefighters with the St. Petersburg Fire Department were called to the stadium to extinguish a fire in the stands, St. Petersburg police spokesman Mike Puetz said.

The incident occurred during the Rowdies' match with the OrlandoCity team.

Two busloads of fans from the visiting team made the trip to St. Petersburg, Puetz said. Some of the fans from the road team had been drinking when they arrived to the match.

Words were exchanged with some Rowdies fan, and fights broke out. Smoke bombs were also set off in the stadium.
