TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - If you get a bill in the mail indicating you owe $57.00 in toll fines, ignore it.
Better yet, report it.
The Florida Department of Transportation says there's an apparent case of fraud that's being investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies.
The DOT says many Floridians have received the invoice, charging them $50, plus a $7 fee, for outstanding toll fines and asking that it be paid through a cashier's check or money order.
