The man threw out his ticket without hesitation because he thought it was not a winner, but while sipping his coffee the next day, he realized something crazy.
The ticket was a winner and discovered his ticket number matched the winner.
According to CNN, "The man collected a $100,000 prize from lottery headquarters. He said he plans to give to charity and start a college fund for his grandchildren."
I'm sure the man will triple check all his future lottery tickets from now.
