John Bassett's Angry Letter To Trump

John Bassett was the owner of the Tampa Bay Bandits and wrote Donald Trump a furious letter back in 1984.

Bassett and had a love for the United States Football League (USFL) like no other and it would be almost impossible to find someone to say something wrong about him.

Trump owned the New Jersey Generals from 1984-1985 and established himself as a man that was not scared to spend money and had a very blunt attitude.

Other owners in the USFL did not like Trump either.

According to Jeff Pearlman, "Trump was described as a Here was a selfish bully who desperately craved an NFL franchise, and viewed the USFL as a temporary (and disposable) vehicle toward that end."

Bassett was disgusted with Trump's actions regarding the USFL over the years and sent the letter to him on Aug. 16, 1984.

Sadly John Bassett died on May 14, 1986, but wonder what he would think of Trump being President today?
