Gas Prices Dropping Again

AAA gasoline price

Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio WFLA)- The roller coaster ride continues on gasoline prices in Florida. AAA says gas prices here are declining again, after rising eight cents a gallon just two weeks ago. The new Florida state average is down three cents since a week ago at $2.25 a gallon.

The Auto Club Group's Mark Jenkins says prices initially went up due to high demand as the Snowbirds are here from the cold weather states. Jenkins says oil prices have stayed relatively low in spite of demand.

Prices are expected to go higher this spring as refineries switch to the more expensive summer-blend gas and demand climbs.

The most expensive gas in Florida.is in the West Palm-Boca Raton area at $2.35. The least expensive gas in Florida is in Pensacola at $2.18.
