Mulberry, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A fatal crash has shutdown the intersection of Highway 37 South and Highway 640 in Mulberry. The Polk County Sheriff's Office says a sedan and a tractor-trailer collided just after one this morning.
One person is dead, and the other driver was taken to Lakeland Regional Health Center. The impact caused both vehicles to burst into flames,the intersection will remain closed until around 9, so crews can clean up the diesel and hydraulic fluid from the pavement.
The name of the driver who died has not yet been released.
