The Hillsborough School board will hold a special meeting this Thursday to consider the suggested names for Lee Elementary and decide what the new name should be.
The public has until noon this Tuesday to email their suggested name for the Tampa school.
Lee Elementary will be rebuilt following a Hurricane Irma-related fire. But before then, there was controversy about the school being named after Confederate general Robert E. Lee.
Some of the names suggested so far are Harper Lee Elementary, Tampa Bay Elementary and Amelia Elementary.
