Venice, Fla. (970 WFLA) - The search continues for the driver who caused a fatal crash Friday night and ran away from the scene, the Florida Highway said. Michael Shea, 67, of Port Charlotte died after the crash at the intersection of Jacaranda Blvd. and US-41 at about 6 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the FHP.
Troopers say a 2017 Nissan Sentra ran a red light to make a right turn and pulled into the path of Shea's Harley-Davidson motorcycle.Shea died at the scene. The FHP asks anyone who can help them identify the driver of the car to call 239-938-1800 or report details through Crimestoppers.
