St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A man high on drugs caused hit-and-run crashes Friday that collected a total of eleven vehicles, including a state trooper's cruiser, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Efrain Nunez-Alcantar, 43, crashed his Chevy Van on southbound I-275 near mile marker 35, and kept going, striking several other vehicles, and speeding off with a state trooper giving chase, according to a news release from the FHP. He passed another state trooper and sideswiped the trooper's patrol vehicle as he continued southbound on I-275 before exiting onto I-375. Troopers caught him stopped in traffic at 4th Avenue Northeast and Beach Drive Northeast.

None of the drivers involved, including the troopers and the suspect suffered injuries in the crashes. Nunez-Alcantar faces multiple counts of DUI property damage, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, fleeing and eluding, and possession of meth amphetamine.
