Holiday Woman Faces 47 Animal Cruelty Counts

Holiday, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A woman who kept dozens of cats locked inside a U-Haul truck at her home faces 47 counts of animal cruelty, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.

Complaints from neighbors led deputies to Karen Tuttle-Kunnmann's home on Dixie Garden Loop where they found 37 cats caged in the storage compartment of the truck with no food, water or fresh air sitting in their own feces, according to a news release from the PCSO.

Deputies found more cats and a dog in the U-Haul's cab and in another vehicle, locked with no air conditioning on, the release said. Still more cats were locked in cages stacked on the U-Haul's roof.
