Mulberry, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A Mulberry man is facing numerous charges after admitting to stealing diesel fuel from storage sheds on citrus groves in Polk County.
A deputy with the Agricultural Crimes Unit pulled over an SUV, hauling a trailer with no tag or lights, in the area of highway 640 and 80 foot road near Alturas and Homeland.
Attached to the trailer, a 500 gallon plastic tank. Inside 47 year old, Donald Fowler's SUV, deputies found, bolt cutters, a pipe wrench and a fuel transfer device.
Fowler has two active arrest warrants and admitted to taking 60 gallons of diesel fuel from a citrus grove in Bartow. He's charged with theft, burglary and trespassing in an orange grove.
