Clearwater Man Bitten By Gator

Clearwater, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A man playing disc golf was attacked by an alligator yesterday as he tried to get a disc that landed in a pond at Cliff Stephens Park in Clearwater.

Three men who heard 35 year old Richard Peel's screams ran to help and pulled him out of the gator's jaw to safety. Peel  was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries not thought to be life threatening.

FWC Trappers came and removed the 11 foot gator, known as Fat Daddy, because he had lost all fear of humans.
