Florida Toddler Found Dead in Woods

2-year-old Jordan Belliveau was found dead this afternoon, according to Largo Police. An Amber Alert was issued this weekend for the child shortly after he first went missing, The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has since cancelled that alert.

Police announced at a press conference that the child's body was found in a wooded area in Largo, near McMullen Road and Alt Keene Road.

At this time, this is the only information police have released, more information is expected top be released at 8:45 p.m. tonight.

The situation began when Jordan was walking with his mother Saturday night and a white Toyota Camry pulled up alongside them. According a statement from the mother, the driver, whom she did not know, offered them a ride home. She accepted it because she didn't think she was able to carry her son the rest of the way to their home.

According to police, the driver punched the mother, knocking her unconsciousness. She regained consciousness alone in the woods Sunday morning- Jordan was no where to be found.

The mother said the suspect introduced himself as “Antwan" and she describes him as a black male with dreadlocks and gold teeth in his mid-20s with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white tank top and black basketball shorts at the time of the kidnapping.
