Police Turn to Public For Clues in Double Homicide

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Lack of leads in a double homicide has police turning to the public for help solving the fatal shootings. 

According to a news release from Tampa Police, "officers responded to a shots fired call in the North Tampa area shortly before 9:30 p.m. on August 31.  They located Marcus Bowden and Albertlean East inside of a home at 9508 North 10th Street.  Both victims suffered gunshot wounds.  Bowden was pronounced deceased at the scene.  East was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.

"Detectives believe that whoever killed the victims likely knew them. They urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS. Anonymous tips provided through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000 in cash.
