Brooksville, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A teenager is dead after a hit-and-run in Hernando County.
The highway patrol says the driver of a Jeep Cherokee, 20 year old Jarod Waters of Hudson and the driver of a silver Volkswagon sedan were making erratic lane changes, when Waters lost control of his SUV near Glen Lakes Boulevard.
The Jeep rotated several times before overturning, ejecting his passenger 17-year-old Kendall Tucker of Spring Hill. She suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Waters is at Bayonet Point Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the silver Volkswagon, made a u-turn and was last seen heading south on US-19.
