Music Legends, Comedy Stars and a Meat Dress?- This Weekend in Tampa

posted by Ryan Gorman -

Music:

Jeff Beck, Paul Rogers and Ann Wilson will take the stage at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre at 7 p.m. this Sunday. One lucky winner got a pair of tickets from calling into PM Tampa Bay, join our listeners and go see these legends live and in person!

Head to Stockyard Live in Holiday on Friday to catch the band Lonestar- even if you aren't a country fan, we can almost guarantee you've slow-danced to their hit 'Amazed' at someone's wedding.

If rap is more your style, Cyhi the Prince headlines the Obknoxious Weekend event this weekend in Ybor. See him and a full line up of hip hop and turntable performances.

Comedy:

Saturday Night Live veteran Leslie Jones performs Friday through Sunday at the Tampa Improv, but get your tickets quick because many shows are already sold out!

Another SNL star comes to Tampa for USF Round Up- catch Cecily Strong as the headliner for the annual, back-to-school comedy show for students. USF students, head to the Yuengling Center this Friday for the free show.

Horror:

Love the cult-classic 'The Blair Witch Project'? Director Dan Myrick will be at the Tampa Theatre this Friday for a screening and meet-and-greet. The movie begins at 10:30 p.m.

If one movie isn't enough to satiate your love of horror, you'll want to check out the Tampa Bay Screams Horror Convention, all day Saturday at the Tampa Clarion Inn. It's a day-long movie marathon that includes guests like Lienna Quigley from Return of the Living Dead and Catherine Parks from Friday the 13th Part III.

Down n' Dirty:

Head to the Florida State Fairgrounds Saturday for Rodeo Fest- a day of roping, shooting, bull riding and barrel racing. Get ready to get some dirt on your boots!

Monster Jam Triple Threat Series is the biggest and baddest show in Tampa this weekend! Competitors have to drive three customized high-powered vehicles: Speedsters, ATVs and of course, Monster Jam trucks. The audience can even get involved and vote on the different competitions from their phones. There's two shows this weekend- 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday at Amalie Arena.

This Week in Dress Up:

We won't make you put on a costume this weekend- but if you head to the Dunedin Fine Art Center this Saturday, you can see models dressed up in some crazy, unique one! Everything from condoms, to hair to raw meat can be turned into a fashionable ensemble. The pre-party starts at 7 p.m., and the models start down the runway at 8 p.m.
