North Port, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Captain Christopher Morales, an 18 year veteran of the North Port Police Department, is being promoted to Deputy Police Chief.
Morales started as a police explorer back in 1994 and was later hired as a police officer in July of 2000. Morales has served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective, Sergeant. Lieutenant and then as Captain.
Morales is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy.
