Florida U.S. Senator Marco Rubio is praising President Donald Trump's nominee to fill the vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Republican Senator Marco Rubio calls Brett Kavanaugh "a qualified, mainstream jurist who possesses the right temperament and experience for the position."
On the other hand, Florida's other senator is maintaining more of a "watch-and-see" attitude.
Democratic Senator Bill Nelson said he'll decide whether to vote for confirmation after meeting with Kavanaugh to discuss his views on issues.
Nelson said he would like to discuss topics such as protecting women's rights, guaranteeing access to health care for those with pre-existing conditions, and protecting the right to vote.
