Manslaughter Charge in Sarasota Fentanyl Overdose

SARASOTA (970 WFLA) -- After an investigation that lasted almost a year, a man is facing manslaughter charges from a deadly fentanyl overdose.

Sarasota sheriff's deputies say 51 year old Bernard Millen supplied fentanyl and heroin to  58 year old Deborah Campbell, who died last July.

They busted him with surveillance video and text messages on the victim's cell phone. In one of the messages, Campbell accused Millen of "cutting" her heroin order. Deputies say the drugs found next to her body tested positive for heroin and fentanyl.

Mullen was arrested in suburban Chicago... he'll be brought back to Florida to face charges.
