Clearwater,Fla. (970 WFLA)- Clearwater Police Detectives are reminding residents how important it is to always lock your car doors, no matter where your vehicle is parked.
They also want to stress that residents should never leave a gun in an unlocked vehicle. Over the course of three nights, Clearwater Police have investigated about 30 unlocked vehicle burglaries. In four of those cases, guns were stolen from those unlocked vehicles. Those guns often are used to commit other crimes in Clearwater and elsewhere.
