Petty Officer 3rd Class Tucker Hassell, from Tampa Bay, Fla., currently serves aboard USS Lewis B. Puller homeported at Naval Station Norfolk, the largest Navy base in the world.
Hassell has served in the Navy for 2 years and works as a culinary specialist that is responsible for maintaining and accounting of food inventory.
“The Navy has taught me how to appreciate the opportunity to serve,” said Hassell. "It always makes me appreciate home so much more."
