RUSKIN (970 WFLA) -- The National Weather Service has posted a flood watch for the Tampa Bay area and most counties in west central Florida, Saturday afternoon through Monday evening.
Included in the watch are Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Sunter, Hardee, Highlands, DeSoto, Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee and Levy counties. A similar warning is posted for several counties in South Florida.
Forecasters are expecting 3 to 5 inches of rain across the region with isolated areas seeing higher amounts.
