Hotel Hold-Up In Downtown Tampa

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A search is underway for the suspect who walked up to front desk at the Marriott Residence Hotel in downtown Tampa,  telling the clerk that he had a gun and to hand over money from  the cash drawer.  

It happened just after two Monday morning.  After the clerk handed him the money, police tell NewsRadio 970, that  he got in a silver car, possibly a Nissan, and took off heading southbound on North Tampa.

The suspect is black, 5 foot 6,  to 5 foot 10,  wearing dark clothing, with twists in his hair.

If you have any information about the robbery or the suspect, you're asked to call Tampa Police. 

 Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000  for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the  suspect in this case.  Anyone with any information regarding this case and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477)
