Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Hillsborough County deputies say a 13 year-old is facing charges after bringing a loaded handgun on to the campus of Dowdell Middle Magnet School.
Deputies say the teen took the semi-automatic pistol out of his backpack and tried to hide it inside a large tractor tire near the school bike rack.
Another student happened to see the gun and told an adult at the school. The resource deputy found the weapon and then later arrested the teen.
No shots were fired and all students are okay.
