Orlando,Fla.(970 WFLA)-Florida Governor Rick Scott wants to be a U.S. Senator. Kicking off a Senate campaign today, Republican Scott said Washington, D.C.is broken and must be changed.
He said Congress needs fewer talkers and more people who can get things done. Scott will tangle with veteran Democratic Senator Bill Nelson in November's midterm election.
The clash with Nelson is expected to be nasty and expensive. President Trump has publicly urged Scott to seek the Senate seat. Scott is completing his second term as Governor of the Sunshine State.
