Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)- A couple's days on the run are over after their arrest for a deadly hit-and-run. Tracy Wood and Miriam Marti-Benning were arrested Wednesday after they were found camping in the woods off i-75 in Pasco County.
The couple was wanted for leaving the scene of a crash that killed 80-year-old Felix De La Uz on west Hillsborough Ave. this weekend. Tampa Police say De La Uz threw himself in front of the car to spare his wife, who was not hurt.
