House Arrest for parents of Seminole Heights murder suspect

A Hillsborough circuit judge has found Rosita and Howell Donaldson Jr. in civil contempt of court and has ordered them to be on house arrest for the next several months.

The Donaldson's son, Howell Donaldson III, is charged with killing four people in Tampa's Seminole Heights last fall.

Prosecutor Jay Pruner tells the judge the state simply wants the Donaldsons to cooperate with investigators.

The Donaldson's attorney says there's no legal precedent which orders parents to testify against their children.

The Donaldsons will have to wear a GPS monitor, but can leave the house for work, church and for medical reasons.
