Workplace Accident Kills Man in Pinellas Park

PINELLAS PARK (970 WFLA) -- The feds are investigating, after a 27 year old Dunedin man was killed in a workplace accident in Pinellas Park. 

Police say an electrical apprentice named Richard Collett, was renovating a building at 102nd Avenue and 66th Street Thursday morning, riding a 14 foot scissor lift that he controlled with a joystick.  

Collett's head got trapped between the lift rail and the frame of a double door. He had suffered severe head trauma when a coworker found him. Collett was pronounced dead at the scene.
