Bucs WR Promises Anthem Statment

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson promised in a tweet, "I definitely will be making a statement" in reply to President Donald Trump's suggestion that players who do not stand for the National Anthem should lose their jobs.

Prior to their game in London Sunday morning, about two dozen players on both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens knelt during the anthem in apparent protest of Trump's expletive-laced comments at a campaign stop for an Alabama U.S. Senate candidate Friday, and subsequent tweets Saturday and Sunday.
