Three Die in Crashes Friday

Tampa Bay, Fla. (970 WFLA) - People died in three separate crashes Friday in area counties, the Florida Highway Patrol said. 

In Sarasota County, troopers said that Bradley DeMorrow, 50, rear-ended a trailer being towed in front of his pickup truck on I-75 near Mile Marker 181 about 9:30 p.m. The truck flipped over and critically injured DeMorrow. A passenger in the truck, Timothy Forrester, 57, died. The driver of the vehicle towing the trailer was not hurt. 

A deadly turn killed a man in Manatee County. Troopers say that Jeffrey Pfeifer turned off US-301 in Parrish and into the path of an oncoming car at about 6:15 p.m. Pfiefer died at the scene. The driver of the other car suffered serious injuries. 

And a multi-vehicle crash in Pasco County killed the driver troopers blame for starting it and seriously injured another driver. It happened about 3:30 p.m. on State Road 54 near Old County Road 54 in the Seven Springs area. Herman Waller's Ford pickup truck swerved and eventually hit three other vehicles, including two coming the other direction on 54. Waller, 66, died at a hospital later.
