Police Investigate Death At Recycling Center

Pinellas Park, Fla-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Police say an 82-year-old woman has been killed at Recycling Services of Florida on 126th Avenue, North.

Investigators say Ida Kuhlmann-Pacheco was a customer at the business when she was hit by construction equipment, just before lunchtime Tuesday. Sergeant Michael Lynch with Pinellas Park police says the woman was a regular customer at the recycling business, and had just dropped off recyclables before wandering into an area not normally accessed by customers, where loaders were being used. The driver, 52 year old Ernest Stewart, noticed her down and called police.

Federal safety authorities won't be investigating, as no workers were injured in the incident.
