Winter Haven, Fla. (970 WFLA) - The man went to the Steak 'N Shake for a burger and sex, police in Winter Haven say. Mark Anthony Biermann, 58, now faces charges related to what police say was his attempt to lure the 16-year-old boy who served him into a meeting for oral sex.
Biermann went to the restaurant on Cypress Gardens Boulevard Southeast in Winter Haven Saturday, ordered food, then wrote a note on the receipt to the boy working the register offering a phone number to call if he wanted oral sex, according to a Winter Haven Police news release.
The boy called his parents instead, and they called police. A Winter Haven Police sergeant posed as the boy and called Biermann, confirming that Biermann wanted to meet what he thought was a 15-year-old boy. Biermann arranged to meet the "victim" at a nearby pizza restaurant, and police made the arrest.
Biermann was booked into the Polk County Jail on one felony count each of Traveling to Meet After Luring a Child and Using Computer/Electronic Device to Seduce Solicit Lure a Child.
