Sarasota, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-A success for The Sarasota Police Department as they collect 35 pounds of unwanted drugs. It was all part of the National Take-Back Initiative with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Officers took in the unused, expired and unwanted prescription drugs as part of the effort. Members of the DEA will collect the drugs and dispose of theme properly.
If you missed the event, the Sarasota Police Department does have a permanent drop-box at S.P.D. HQ at 2099 Adams Lane.
