Tampa will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in three years.
The event will take place at Amalie Arena March 19th and 21st of 2020.
Tampa last hosted the NCAA Basketball Tournament in 2011.
Rob Higgins of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission says he couldn't be more excited about this announcement.
Tampa submitted its bid this past fall and Higgins says it has been a priority to bring March Madness back to the Bay Area.
