Clearwater, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Police officer Lenshawn Price has been named School Resource Officer of the Year for the Pinellas County School District. It's the second straight year that a Clearwater officer has won the award.
Officer Price is a 17 year vet of the Clearwater P.D. Price has been resource officer at Oak Grove Middle School for the past nine years.
The award will be presented to Officer Price at the school board meeting on May 9th.
Officer Cathi Long, SRO at Countryside High, won the award in 2016.
