St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA)-An accidental cooking fire is being blamed for the death of 74 year old Ronald Griffin.
St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue says when they arrived, light smoke was coming from Griffin's second floor apartment unit in the 3000 block of 58th Avenue South.
Fire crews tried to resuscitate Griffin man before he was taken to Bayfront Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
