Robert Plotkin has been a math and science teacher at Clearwater Intermediate School for the past five years.
Last week, Largo police Lt. Joe Coyle said Plotkin's roommate reported finding child porn on Plotkin's laptop. Coyle said Plotkin retrieved the laptop and it was turned over to detectives, who found images of children ages three through 17.
The 57-year-old Plotkin was taken into custody this week and charged with ten counts of child porn and one count of tampering with evidence for throwing the laptop in the lake.
