With John Jonchuck's attorneys and prosecutors present, a Pinellas circuit judge has set Jonchuck's murder trial for February 5th, 2018.
Jonchuck is charged with murder. Detectives say he killed his five-year-old daughter Phoebe by throwing her off the Dick Misener Bridge--and approach bridge to the Sunshine Skyway--in January of 2015.
At that time, and for nearly two years, Jonchuck was ruled incompetent to stand trial and was taken to a state mental facility.
A few months ago, doctors and the judge determined that he is mentally capable of standing trial.
