Bradenton Crash Kills Motorcycle Rider

Bradenton, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A collision between a Cadillac SUV and a motorcycle Saturday morning left the motorcycle rider dead. Florida Highway Patrol says that the crash happened at about 8:45 a.m. on U.S. 41 south of Braden Ave. in Bradenton.

Troopers say that Robert Jones, 63, did not see Chad Stephens on his motorcycle when he pulled his SUV out of a McDonald's parking lot and crossed the southbound lanes of U.S. 41, right into the Stephens's path.

Stephens, 36, who was wearing his helmet, died at the scene. Troopers cited Jones with violation of right of way from a drive within a business.
