Same Sex Couple Claims Son Was Used To Spread Hate

LAKELAND, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A Polk County couple claim their seven-year-old son faced discrimination from a school bus driver and was used to spread bigotry.

Why?

Because he has two moms.

Natalie Encarnacion told News Channel 8 that bus driver Violeta Jacobo told her son he was going to hell because of his parents' same sex marriage.

He even came home with a card from Jehovah's Witnesses.

Encarnacion said her son told them they shouldn't stay together anymore. The issue was brought to the Polk County school district, but Encarnacion said she hasn't heard back.

The district did say they have reviewed the incident, and have spoken to the driver to follow the code of ethical conduct.
