(Sarasota, Fla. - 970 WFLA) –- Sarasota Fire Rescue crews were called to an accident involving eight people on a high wire in Sarasota.
Five people have been taken to hospitals. Four of those are classified as trauma alerts.
The injured fell over 30 feet from a high wire at the Circus Arts Conservatory, which is located at 2075 Bahia Vista St. in Sarasota, according to a Sarasota Fire Rescue spokesperson.
World-famous high wire performer Nik Wallenda was on the high wire, but was not hurt.
