Daytona Beach, Fla.-3/16/2014)-Bike Week 2014 is in the history books.  The big downer at the "World's Largest Motorcycle Event" was the loss of some bikers on the roads around Daytona.

I am happy to report that police say bike thefts during the big Florida biker party were down from the previous year. Pearl made it through another week of motorcycle madness without some bad guy getting his hands on my baby. She did drop me in some soft sand leaving one biker bar (I only had one beer).

I met some famous TV types while in Daytona. Speed from "Road To Sturgis" had his award winning rat bike there.  Speed travels the U.S. collecting goodies to attach to his bike.  I think he even has his late mom's false teeth on the Harley. TV moonshiner Wayne was hawking his merch at the Cabbage Patch.

I did take in the annual cole slaw wrestling at the Cabbage Patch. It was its usually entertaining event.  The place was packed with fans to watch the women roll around in the slime.  Number one son, Craig, joined me to watch the matches.

I hooked up with some new friends from Georgia, Pennsylvania and South Florida for a day of riding.  We ended up at the Cheyenne Saloon in Palatka.  The ride back included a nice stop in Flagler Beach.

I'm already looking forward to the next Bike Week and Biketoberfest before that. Hope to see you out and about.  See More Of My Daytona Pics HERE
