The MLB Draft is Thursday and Rays will be looking to outperform their recent hauls.

Monday's Jim Callis, who will be part of MLB Network's Draft coverage starting Thursday, didn't have the best things to say about the Rays' recent showings.

"The simple fact is, for as much credit as the Rays get and deservedly so, for being a smart team... they have (a) bad record at drafting players since 2008 forward."

He went on to break down the recent picks, particularly one where they had 10 early-round selections that according to Callis "they missed on" and "haven't panned out" since their selection.
