As Tampa Bay Rays fans continue to sit and wait to see if the organization will or won’t trade ace pitcher David Price, the rumors have begun to spin once again.  Several reports saying the Rays are planning on sitting through the All Star Break to regroup and see where they want to go with any sort of move involving David Price.

2014 Baseball Hall Of Fame Inductee Frank Thomas joined WDAE’s “Ron and Ian Show” on Thursday and discussed how he feels about Price possibly leaving the place and team where he was drafted first overall in 2007.

“I think he’s an excellent pitcher and a true number one,” said Thomas.  “It’s sad that Tampa can’t keep him.  You guys have raised this guy but that’s just how baseball is now a days.   It’s at that point now where they are going to have to get the best package they can, or they’re going to have to make a commitment that I don’t know if they can handle with their fan base.”
