As the Buccaneers kickoff their three-day mini-camp this weekend, lots of players are beginning their path to making it onto an NFL roster. Aside from the draft selections from a week ago, the others are going off of hope in making it to opening day.

The Bucs have invited and signed undrafted free agents to participate in this weekend's camp. Tampa Bay has announced that 50 players will be in attendance. But the odds are against many.

In 2013, out of the undrafted free agents signed across the league, just over 60 players made it to their team's rosters. Earlier in the week, Lovie Smith joined the Sports Page and let it be known that out of 11 undrafted free agents the Bucs have signed, three or four have a good chance of making the roster.

It is a small chance, but if a player can not make it on to the roster, they can be signed to the practice squad. That option can pave the way for them to making it on to the field on Sunday's throughout the season.
