The Buccaneers' starters will get extended playing time this Saturday against the Bills in Buffalo. It's the third game of the preseason which commonly means most of the starters likely play into the third quarter.

There hasn't been much for the fan base to get too excited about during these exhibition games. There have been flashes here and there but none of it has truly shown how the team will look this season. That is why this game is crucial.

Tampa Bay will get a shot at putting together some of the work they have done this offseason in preparation for Week 1 against Carolina. They won't showcase it all, but expect the majority of their offensive and defensive schemes to be used this week.

We already know how the Lovie Smith defense will look. Their play in just two games is as advertised but not the same can be said for the offense.

How the first-team offense comes out on Saturday afternoon could give an indication as to how the offense will perform in 2014. Perhaps it's not fair to put so much on just three quarters of play. But it'll be the first real opportunity for the offense to build live game chemistry and offer something positive to look forward to for this fall.
