Former Giant and new Buc, Brandon Myers, joined WDAE’s “The Ron and Ian Show” on Thursday afternoon to talk about how he feels becoming a Buccaneer and what he thinks about joining Lovie’s new regime.

First, Myers gave his feelings on becoming a Buccaneer.

“I’m extremely excited and thankful for the opportunity,” Myers said. “I’m looking forward to getting started.”

It seems Smith is also excited about Myers joining the team, having already named him a "Top of the chart" TE.

“As a general rule, I think, when you go into free agency and you’re bringing in veteran players, you shouldn’t be looking for a lot of backups,” Lovie said. “We wanted players that could come in instantly and give us something.”

Myers shares his thoughts on what it will be like to join a team where it will be a lot of guys getting to know each other.

“Sometimes that’s challenging,” Myers said. “But when you got a guy like Coach Smith and you got veterans on your team, you just come together and you start working right away trying to get that bond and camaraderie, and get things going."
