Sara Nevins had quite the Saturday.

The USF softball pitcher reached the 1000-strikeout mark for her career, and went on to throw a no-hitter against UCF in Tampa. The Bulls won 4-0.

Nevins struck out 10 and has 1,003 strikeouts after the performance, which came at a good time as USF had slumped to a 3-3 start in American Athletic Conference play.

The victory sent the Bulls to 30-11 overall heading in the last two games of the series, including one later Saturday.

USF and UCF entered the weekend ranked first and second in the nation in strikeouts.
