David Legwand had a goal and an assist, and the Detroit Red Wings held off the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 Sunday to move into seventh place in the Eastern Conference.  With the win, the Lightning’s 11-game points streak comes to an end.

Joakim Andersson and Gustav Nyquist also scored for Detroit, and Jonas Gustavsson stopped 26 shots in net as the bolts we’re outshot 30-26.

Valtteri Filppula and Sami Salo scored for the Bolts as Ben Bishop made 27 saves in defeat.

Legwand assisted on Nyquist's goal that gave Detroit a 2-1 lead with 4:36 remaining in the first.  The veteran winger made it 3-1 on a power-play goal with 3:24 left in the second period, tipping in Johan Franzen's shot from the left circle for his 13th goal of the season.

Salo scored his fourth goal to pull TampaBay within 3-2 with 4:29 left in the third but it wasn’t enough as the Bolts will return home following a shot two game road trip on back to back nights.  The Lightning will host the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.  Catch all the action on 970AM WFLA beginning at 7:00pm with the pre-game, and a 7:30pm faceoff.
